Natalia Timofeyeva

Born in Moscow on 11 January 1988.

1993-2002:     studied cello with prof. Alla Shpicalova at the N. Rubinschtein Music School

2002-2006:     studied at the Moscow Central Music School under the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatoire with People’s Artist of the Russian Federation prof. Igor Gavrysh; took part in numerous concerts and festivals

2006-till now: studies cello with prof. Alexandr Buzlov and baroque cello with prof. Pavel Serbin at the Historical and Contemporary Performance Department of the Moscow Conservatoire; also studies viola da gamba.

Takes part in master-classes regularly, including with People’s Artist of the USSR prof. Natalia Gutman, prof. Zvi Meniker

Competitions and awards: the M.M. Ippolitov-Ivanov International Music Competition (2007, Moscow, 2nd prize), the International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen (Germany, 2009, diploma)

Performs regularly with the La voce strumentale, the Pocket Symphony ensembles; her regular partners are Yana Ivanilova, Nazar Kozhukhar, Dmitry Sinkovsky, Vladislav Pesin, Peter Aidu, Grigory Krotenko.
