Mikhail Olenev

Born on 11 January, 1977.

1995: graduated from the Academic Music College under the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatoire (studied trombone with prof. M.N. Turusin, the former soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra)

1995-2000: studied bass trombone with prof. M.V. Deryugin at the Orchestra Department of the Moscow Conservatoire

2000-2002: studied contemporary music as post-graduate student at the Moscow Conservatoire

Participant of several festivals for wind orchestras and ensembles.

Performed with various orchestras and groups, including the Opera Theatre orchestra of the Moscow Conservatoire, the Sadko folk orchestra (2004-2005), the Igor Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble (2005-2006), the Moscow Conservatoire Studio for New Music ensemble of soloists (since 2008).

Plays alto and tenor sackbut with the Alta Capella early music ensemble since 2010. Participant of master-classes with prof. Martin Lubenow (2010, Germersheim, Germany), Stefan Leg?e (2010, 2011, 2012, Moscow), prof. Wim Becu (2011, Salzburg, Austria; Akademie f?r Alte Musik Bremen – Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum).
